How We Trek-Rate

When searching for a hotel room a simple check-box of ‘wheelchair accessible’ doesn’t meet the needs of customers with mobility challenges. One of the problems we see with star ratings is that they just don’t tell you much. So we’ve dumped that format in favor of a 100-point scale that’s designed to give a lot more context.

We start out by assigning 20 points to 5 different categories. The first two are uniquely applicable to those with a mobility concern, while the following three can appeal to everyone:
